Grantmakers in the Arts (GIA) is seeking a Communications Manager to join its team to join its team headquartered in the Bronx, New York. The position can be remote or hybrid, with occasional travel required. This position will report directly to the Vice President & Director of Programs; and will work collaboratively with other members of the GIA team, including the President & CEO, Director of Operations & Finance, and development and program colleagues.

Grantmakers in the Arts’ team and board of directors issues this statement to express our detestation with the Supreme Court’s ruling in Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization, the decision to overturn birthing people’s constitutional right to an abortion as set by Roe v. Wade in 1973.
This decision to overrule Roe v. Wade has invalidated an earlier decision that the Supreme Court declared a constitutional right.
November 2, 2021 – New York. Grantmakers in the Arts is pleased to announce that they have engaged Jen Cole & Estrella Esquilin of the National Collaborative for Creative Work at Arizona State University’s Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts in collaboration with Randy Engstrom of Third Way Creative, to co-create a Learning Lab series focused on advancing racial justice through intersectional cultural policy to be debuted in Winter/Spring 2022.
