An Initiative Seeks to Support Festivals and Block Parties in the Bronx

A grassroots initiative designed to support small local organizations and block associations was recently launched by Bronx Council on the Arts to increase attendance to the neighborhood's block parties and single block festivals.

A limited number of small grants of up to $500 are available through the Arts on the Block initiative to be used for artist fees whose activities will enhance block party attendance. The initiative, according to BCA, is focused on supporting the work of smaller organizations that have not applied for a grant from BCA in the past.
