Launched as a ten-year initiative in 2003, Leveraging Investments in Creativity represented a philanthropic experiment in using information, money, and strategic partnerships to effect change in the support system for artists in the United States. This comprehensive, three-part publication explores the work and history of LINC through three lenses: the overall field environment and animating conditions of the decade in which LINC was active (“Cornerstones”); research inspired, commissioned, and used by LINC (“Research + Practice”); and narratives concerning the work of the 114 grantees with whom LINC partnered (“Case Studies”).
