2016 GIA Conference: Registration Begins Thursday

Registration for the 2016 GIA Conference in Saint Paul, MN, will open on Thursday, June 23. This year’s conference will be held October 16-19 and feature over 40 sessions and inspiring keynote presentations and performances. GIA members will receive the first opportunity to register and a first look at the conference offerings before they are announced to the public. A highlight of this year will be a special Tuesday evening celebration on the shore of the Mississippi River. All GIA members are eligible for discounted conference registration.

Web Conference Series on Racial Equity in Grantmaking

GIA introduces a special four-session series of web conferences, “Practices for Advancing Racial Equity in Arts Grantmaking.” The first session will provide an update on GIA’s racial equity work, while the following three will explore practices funders can use to advance racial equity throughout the grant cycle. This series will feature examples from public, private, and intermediary grantmakers that we hope will offer inspiration for other funders examining their own assumptions and practices.
