The next GIA web conference, Bringing Artists Together: Support through Convening, will be held on Tuesday, September 27 at 2pm EDT / 11am PDT. Jonathon Glus from Houston Arts Alliance and Meg Leary from United States Artists will present examples of how artist convenings can be utilized to cultivate connections between artists and other professionals for the advancement of the artists’ careers.

For the month of September, GIA’s photo banner features projects supported by New Mexico Arts, New Mexico’s state arts agency. New Mexico Arts is advised by a 15-member, governor-appointed arts commission. It provides financial support for arts services and programs to non-profit organizations and administers the 1% pubic art program statewide.
